About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high product quality. This role collaborates cross-functionally with design, quality, maintenance, and operations teams to develop, implement, and optimize production systems, equipment, and workflows.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 2–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably mechanical, industrial, or process-based industries).
  • Skills: o Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, and equipment. o Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization tools. o Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. o Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Process Improvement: Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Design Support: Work closely with product engineering to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
  • Tooling & Equipment: Specify, design, and procure manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tools to support production needs.
  • Lean & Continuous Improvement: Lead Kaizen events, implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives to drive operational excellence.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Support launch of new products and processes, including pilot builds and production ramp-up.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, throughput, downtime, and cycle time; recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all processes meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with operations, quality, supply chain, and maintenance to ensure smooth production flow and timely issue resolution.
