About The Position

Kinetic is seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our production and engineering teams in Waco, TX. In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll collaborate with design and fabrication teams to streamline manufacturing processes, improve quality, and help bring innovative custom trailer designs from concept to completion. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of programming for CNC plasma and press brakes.
  • Solid understanding of steel fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards and safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience, preferably in a steel fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD (preferably SolidWorks), ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering and production environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to support efficient trailer production.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure designs are feasible for fabrication and assembly.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flows, and quality standards.
  • Support production teams by troubleshooting issues and providing technical guidance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
  • Assist in layout planning, tooling selection, and workstation optimization.
  • Maintain strong communication between engineering and manufacturing teams.
