About The Position
Kinetic is seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our production and engineering teams in Waco, TX. In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll collaborate with design and fabrication teams to streamline manufacturing processes, improve quality, and help bring innovative custom trailer designs from concept to completion. Requirements
- Strong understanding of programming for CNC plasma and press brakes.
- Solid understanding of steel fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
- Proficient in SolidWorks and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing standards and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience, preferably in a steel fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in CAD (preferably SolidWorks), ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering and production environment.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to support efficient trailer production.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure designs are feasible for fabrication and assembly.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flows, and quality standards.
- Support production teams by troubleshooting issues and providing technical guidance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
- Assist in layout planning, tooling selection, and workstation optimization.
- Maintain strong communication between engineering and manufacturing teams.
