About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer performs engineering associated with the manufacturing process. In this role you will make a lasting impact on the operations of the plant by enabling manufacturing uptime, cost reduction, and increased product quality. Your contributions will range from creating and developing processes, to problem solving process related issues, to learning new technologies to lead continuous improvement within our manufacturing processes. This position is scheduled on our weekend shifts with standard days of Friday, Saturday, Sunday for 12 hours per day.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Must be willing to work standard Friday, Saturday and Sunday weekend shift, 12 hours per day
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

  • Knowledge of laser ablation machining in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Process Ownership of assigned processes
  • Develop in-depth expertise to become subject matter expert of assigned processes
  • Coordinate the design, development and implementation of programs according to the drawing and specification requirements
  • Responsible for machinery selection along with development or improvement concepts
  • Drive the qualification of new equipment
  • Design and develop new processes to support new product introductions
  • Drive efforts to support and meet production schedules, including safety, quality, and delivery
  • Utilize Lean principles and participate in action workouts to improve product cost, throughput and quality
  • Display a dedicated, team-oriented work ethic with personal ownership while having a goal-focused mindset
  • Possess a strong desire to grow and learn new manufacturing processes and possess ability to know when to seek help
  • Have flexibility in hours/shift of work; ability to flex schedule for training and/or shop coverage needs
