Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience within assembly environments.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, tools, and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency with CAD or viewer software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, JT, or EASM.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and cross‑functional partnering skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automated assembly systems, robotics, or Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP and manufacturing software.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification.
  • Strong background with Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Exposure to advanced materials or emerging manufacturing technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize assembly processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain assembly line layouts, workflows, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Partner with design teams to ensure products are optimized for assembly (DFA).
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks to enhance cycle time and line performance. Evaluate and select tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to assembly quality and equipment reliability.
  • Analyze assembly line performance metrics to uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Support new product launches by developing, validating, and refining assembly processes.
  • Train and mentor assembly operators on new tools, technologies, and procedures.
