Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and translate into work instructions.
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Experience creating manufacturing plans and work instructions

Process Improvement experience
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Effective Communication Skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Technical Writing.
Knowledgeable of EGSE electrical design / hardware and cable/harness
Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes
Knowledge of CAD systems and Manufacturing ERP systems, such as VE-CAMs.
Knowledgeable of engineering materials
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Basic knowledge in design for manufacturing or design for cost (DFM or DFC)
General knowledge of rework instructions, M-Note, Q-Note
Internal candidates shall possess general understanding of LM processes, procedures, and specifications.
