About The Position

We are a growing U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in metal stamping, tooling, and precision fabrication for a diverse industrial customer base. Our operations are rooted in hands-on manufacturing excellence, with a strong focus on quality, repeatability, and continuous improvement. As we continue to expand production, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support stamping operations and tooling on the production floor. The Manufacturing Engineer – Stamping & Tooling Production Support role is focused on supporting day-to-day stamping operations, tooling performance, and manufacturing processes. This position works closely with Production, Tooling, and Quality teams to ensure efficient, repeatable, and cost-effective manufacturing. This is a strong opportunity for an engineer with core stamping exposure who is looking to deepen hands-on manufacturing experience and grow within a production-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to metal stamping operations.
  • Working knowledge of stamping processes, tooling, and production floor workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic GD&T.
  • Hands-on, floor-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn through direct production involvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Exposure to tooling, dies, or press operations in a production environment.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and basic manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support metal stamping operations by troubleshooting production issues related to tooling, materials, setups, and process flow.
  • Assist with die changeovers, setups, and process adjustments to improve uptime and part quality.
  • Work directly on the production floor to observe processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with Tooling and Maintenance teams to support die performance, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
  • Assist with evaluating tooling issues, documenting root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support tooling trials, first-piece approvals, and process validation activities.
  • Assist with developing and updating standard work, process documentation, and routings.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scrap reduction, cycle time improvement, and throughput.
  • Participate in new part launches from a manufacturing readiness perspective, focusing on stamping feasibility and tooling readiness.
  • Work closely with Production Supervisors, Toolmakers, Quality, and Engineering to resolve day-to-day manufacturing challenges.
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding process changes, tooling issues, and improvement opportunities.
