Requirements

  • Preferred B.S. Engineering (or equivalent experience working in engineering role for 5+ years)
  • NC / CNC programming (Siemens 840D preferred)
  • Machining, tool & die, or equivalent apprenticeship / training in lieu of degree optional
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ideal background in gear machining
  • Automotive machining background (steel + aluminum)
  • Experience working with tooling suppliers
  • No Sponsorship is available at this time

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred background in machining, including turning, grinding, hobbing, etc.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with CNC machining and NC programming

Responsibilities

  • Support SRT (supplies, tooling, repairs) analysis and reordering
  • Individually complete analysis of SRT data and cost / area analysis
  • Support cost-down topics and actions
  • Support tooling optimizations with vendors to reduce total costs (turning, hobbing, grinding, etc.)
