Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top-quality refrigeration products for their six market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, Magna Industrial and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling. The Manufacturing Engineer I assists in the planning and designing of basic manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Familiar with analytical and CAD software.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the application of basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations.
  • Assist in conducting analyses or tests of a routine degree of complexity pertaining to the development of new methods, materials, processes or standards and provide recommendations accordingly.
  • Assist in the preparation of plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, MRP support studies, factory cost work standards and assignments of similar complexity.
  • Assign work to drafters and technicians as needed.
