Job Description: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform various window and door assembly functions from start to finish Advise team members of shortages/quality issues Inspect each phase of assembly to assure quality Read and follow production lists Identify proper materials Work constructively with coworkers and leadership team Perform Safety audits Follow standard work, control plans, and written work instructions Participate in continuous improvement process and other lean initiatives Coach and train new associates Assure conformance with the 5S program Assure compliance with all safety related policies and procedures Understand and participate in achieving departmental and company goals Serve as a member of the departmental team providing assistance as required Understand and adhere to all PPE requirements related to each work station Use drills, screw guns, nail/staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and various other tools and equipment, as part of the assembly process QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: High School Graduate/GED/HSED Basic reading and math skills Ability to read a tape measure Ability to use drills, screw guns, nail/staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and various other tools and equipment Oral communication skills Basic team skills Basic organizational skills Ability to operate lift equipment as needed Physical ability to perform job duties Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision Understanding of related safety policies and procedures Pay Range: CULTURE AND BENEFITS: At Andersen, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do.
