About The Position

Dynamic Sealing Technologies (DSTI) of Andover, MN is looking to hire a Manufacturing Assistant . Initially, job duties will be related to general labor and maintaining facility cleanliness. Typical Manufacturing Assistant Job Duties Maintain organization of shelving, tools and equipment. Clean and organize breakrooms, restrooms, company owned vehicles, and maintain the parking lot, general production areas and warehouse. Assist the maintenance department with light repair of equipment and machinery. As you progress in the role, you will have the opportunity apply your interest in manufacturing to learn all you can about other functional areas including Assembly/Test, and Shipping & Receiving. Assembly/Test duties may include hands-on work with repetitive job or organization and support for complex custom jobs. Shipping & Receiving support duties may include preparing parts for shipment and inventory counts. May assist with snow/ice removal or minor landscape upkeep. We primarily use outside vendors for grounds maintenance, but sometimes attention to these matters is urgent. Able to use programs like Microsoft Word for work instruction, CMMS systems for maintenance task assignment and Outlook for email. We will provide training on our specific technology tools, but you must be comfortable using a computer as part of your daily duties. Qualifications for a Manufacturing Assistant High school diploma or GED Age 18+ Strong attention to detail Proficient with computers A high degree of mechanical aptitude We also provide training and certification on high-risk equipment such as aerial lifts and forklifts. Must be willing to obtain and maintain these certifications.
