About The Position

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Conduct all job duties with Safety as a priority and in compliance with Safety Rules. Rigging and lifting parts for preparation to machine. Assemble, test, and troubleshoot, boosters, controllers, valves, actuators, and valve & actuator assemblies per customer order specification and Fisher requirements. Perform light re-machining or rework of components including, but not limited to, plugs, seats, etc., in addition to drilling & pinning, completion of valve assemblies for own work group, or other assembly groups as needed and assigned. Ability to operate various manual machines including, but not limited to engine lathe, bridge mill, and drills is required. Accomplish specific goals to address Delivery, Cost of Operations, Safety, Training, and Quality. Produce quality parts/assemblies and eliminate the cost of non-conformance Segregate non-conforming materials according to work instructions. Produce quality parts/assemblies and eliminate the cost of non-conformance. Perform all required testing, paperwork, quality records, documents, etc. Align with all safety and work instructions. Maintain clear communication within department. Maintain departmental housekeeping rules, standards, and clean/restock as the need arises. Reduce lead times and optimize production cycle to conform to "make-to-order". Maintain competitive cost associated assembly including labor, material, tooling, inventory, etc. Troubleshoot problems in the product and resolve product and manufacturing process problems as needed, utilizing resources (Engineering, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Marketing, etc.) as necessary Perform other job assignments as needed to maintain efficient operation or as directed by supervisory personnel

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time; strength in arms and legs.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications and instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 – 3 years proven experience working with Painting, Rigging and Lifting and driving PIV’s.
