About The Position

SUMMARY A Ceramic Core Finisher is responsible for the precise finishing, inspection, and preparation of ceramic cores used in investment casting processes. This role ensures that each core meets strict dimensional, surface, and quality standards before being delivered for casting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Carefully file, smooth, and shape ceramic cores using hand tools, , and precision instruments. Inspect cores for cracks, chips, or dimensional defects, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications. Perform minor repairs (patch) or touch-ups to maintain product integrity. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety protocols. Document work that has been performed and report any quality issues to supervisors and team leads.

• High school education or equivalent life experience and three to six months related experience or training.
• Ability to learn and to operate all injection machines and perform all functions of wax injection operation to include placement of patterns in wax setters or fixtures after injection.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and work instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to record information on a daily basis.
• Ability to speak and listen effectively to follow instructions in English.
• Ability to write and speak complete sentences and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to add and subtract two- and three-digit numbers and to perform simple multiplication and division.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Experience with fine hand-finishing or similar precision work preferred.
