To provide MANDT training to Elk Hill staff as needed or required.
Requirements
Possess a MANDT Instructor certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to articulate ideas verbally and in writing with a wide variety of audiences as a facilitator or presenter (in person, online, webinars, and conference calls)
Experience providing technical assistance, consultation, training, and support to Elk Hill staff
Good physical health
Ability and willingness to physically perform all functions of the facility’s Behavior Management Program at a mastery level
Ability to traverse inside and outside of the property, or other locations, including uneven terrain or stairs
Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Periods of standing to provide instruction to staff
Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds, regularly lift up to 10 pounds
Responsibilities
Maintain an active MANDT Instructor certification, including the latest updates
Provide training and coaching to Elk Hill staff
Ensure MANDT training is offered once a month in your assigned region
Communicate course evaluations with the Sr. MANDT Instructor
Ensure that Trauma Informed Care is being implemented across the organization
Attend quarterly meetings to review the effectiveness of the MANDT system across the entire organization
Communicate effectively with Human Resources about training dates, times, and locations to enter into the Learning Management System (LMS)
Consult with the Sr. MANDT Instructor directly regarding any questions that may arise about implementation of restraints
