About The Position

We are seeking a CEO to lead and scale its waste management operations. This role owns overall business performance, including strategy, operations, client management, growth, and P&L, while ensuring best-in-class QHSE compliance, service quality, and team leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, including 7–8+ years in a comparable senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record leading multi-site operations, P&L ownership, and client-facing delivery in the UAE/GCC.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and digital/process transformation.
  • Strong commercial acumen and market understanding; able to build pipelines and win/retain business.
  • Strategic leadership, operational excellence, and execution rigor.
  • Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication.
  • Data-driven decision-making, analytical thinking, and structured reporting.
  • People leadership: coaching, talent development, accountability, and culture building.
  • Valid UAE driving license (mandatory).
  • Fluent English (mandatory). Additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the business strategy and operating model for waste management activities.
  • Drive business growth across existing services and new opportunities (recycling, sustainability/green initiatives).
  • Lead client and stakeholder management including key accounts, partners, and relevant authorities.
  • Oversee contracts and subcontractors, ensuring compliance, performance, and effective governance.
  • Establish and continuously improve processes, controls, and reporting to support operational excellence.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, ensuring cost discipline and margin delivery.
  • Lead change management initiatives, including digitization/automation and performance improvement programs.
  • Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams (hiring, training, coaching, succession planning).
  • Champion a strong Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) culture and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Consistently model and enforce safe work practices, incident reporting, and risk prevention.
  • Ensure adherence to security and cybersecurity requirements, including during travel and remote work.
  • Promote a mindset of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and digital adoption.
