About The Position

The Managing Director would be responsible for leading TD Securities' U.S. M&A origination and execution efforts across a wide range of private and public energy M&A transactions. The role will involve working closely with and supporting the coverage teams in both origination and execution of transactions in a broad range of energy verticals, including: upstream, midstream, power, utilities and other associated infrastructure.

Requirements

• Ideally 15+ years related experience, with 5+ years as a Managing Director covering the energy sector
• Has deep transaction experience leading execution of large and notable energy M&A transactions
• Demonstrated coverage skills with experience / trusted senior relationships (CEO, CFO, Board)
• Has experience working at a firm with broad capital markets platform and capabilities
• Maintains awareness of relevant energy industry issues
• Has a collaborative, team-based approach to client coverage and execution

Responsibilities

• Acts as execution team lead on major deals / transactions with key clients
• Guides and develops more junior colleagues through training, mentorship, guidance and leadership by example, and helps them to understand their role in the firm's success
• Establishes an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank
• Directs, trains and develops staff to enable them to meet challenges, department objectives and achieve full potential
