Analyst - Corporate & Investment Banking Credit – Energy Analysts in our Corporate & Investment Banking Credit groups are involved with the structuring, execution and monitoring of debt transactions from inception through closing. Working with clients across the energy spectrum, spanning upstream, midstream, downstream, oilfield services, chemicals, as well as renewables, you will gain exposure to different business models and industry dynamics.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years relevant exp
  • Undergraduate degree preferably in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics with a combination of strong financial/analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Other undergraduate majors will be considered if the candidate demonstrates the necessary skill set.
  • Successful candidates must have the capacity to become adept at financial modeling and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in energy corporate banking would be strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Spread and monitor clients’ historical financial performance
  • Create detailed models to project clients’ future cash flows and credit ratios
  • Gather and analyze trends in qualitative and quantitative data such as oil & gas price dynamics, producer cost structures, midstream takeaway capacity, and the impact of commodity prices and production levels on midstream and refining clients
  • Analyze deal structures and assist with deal negotiations and documentation
  • Prepare and present credit recommendations for new and existing clients
  • Compile data through due diligence and prepare comprehensive credit reviews that analyze transactions and client risks
  • Prepare client presentations
