About The Position

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving industry-focused capital markets coverage, advising clients across renewable energy, utilities, and manufacturing sectors. You will lead high-impact relationships with developers, sponsors, and corporate executives, providing strategic guidance on debt, equity, tax credits, and capital formation. The role combines transactional leadership with thought partnership, helping clients navigate complex financing structures while leveraging market intelligence and technology platforms. You will work collaboratively across product teams, software and AI groups, and internal stakeholders to maximize client outcomes. The position requires a balance of deal execution, client advisory, and market insight, with significant opportunity to shape the growth of innovative capital solutions. Strong industry credibility, leadership presence, and strategic vision are key to success in this high-ownership environment.

Requirements

  • 14+ years of experience in power & utilities or renewable energy finance, with strong transactional expertise in debt, equity, M&A, and tax equity
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining high-value client relationships, ideally in an investment banking or advisory coverage role
  • Recognized industry expertise in clean energy and infrastructure capital markets
  • Track record of driving deals, revenue growth, and strategic client outcomes
  • Strong leadership presence, capable of fostering team culture and high-performance collaboration
  • Motivated by goal attainment and client success, with high ethical standards
  • FINRA SIE, Series 79 and 63 required, or willingness to obtain under broker-dealer sponsorship
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with developers, IPPs, utilities, manufacturers, and sponsors in your coverage universe
  • Advise clients on capital structure, capital formation strategies, and transaction execution across debt, equity, tax credits, and tax equity
  • Serve as a thought partner, leveraging market intelligence and industry trends to provide insights and strategic guidance
  • Collaborate with product, software, and AI teams to enhance offerings and client experiences
  • Drive mandates and revenue growth across all product lines
  • Contribute to development of market intelligence, intellectual property, and public-facing thought leadership initiatives
  • Represent the firm at industry events, webinars, and speaking engagements to expand brand visibility
