About The Position

This role is a senior legal leadership position responsible for shaping and managing the privacy and AI legal functions across the organization. You will provide strategic guidance on emerging privacy and AI regulations, ensuring compliance across products and services while mitigating legal risk. Partnering with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, marketing, and government affairs, you will tackle complex issues at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and e-commerce. You will also lead and mentor a team of privacy legal experts, building a governance program that supports organizational growth and protects consumer trust. Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership
  • 12+ years of legal experience in law firms, government, or in-house settings
  • Minimum 5 years of experience advising on privacy matters, including healthcare and consumer privacy
  • At least 2 years of experience advising on AI-related legal issues
  • Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring legal teams
  • Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across the business
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and provide practical, business-focused legal guidance
  • Strong organizational skills and experience establishing governance frameworks for compliance and risk mitigation

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the company’s privacy and AI legal functions, including building and scaling governance programs
  • Provide actionable legal guidance to cross-functional teams on federal and state consumer, healthcare privacy, and AI regulations
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, marketing, and government affairs teams to identify and mitigate legal risks
  • Advise on novel issues arising at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and e-commerce
  • Develop and implement policies and frameworks to ensure compliance with evolving privacy and AI laws
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing legal team, fostering professional growth and accountability
  • Serve as a trusted business partner, influencing decisions and enabling strategic initiatives while protecting the company
