About The Position

This Manager will support the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) grants management mission by providing advisory and program support services across the federal grants lifecycle. Work includes grants policy and process analysis, program operations support, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to help ACF programs operate in compliance with federal statutes, regulations, and HHS/ACF policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree
  • Prior HHS experience or other Federal Public Health experience (NIH, FDA, CDC, CMS, etc.)
  • Experience working at a large consulting firm
  • 5 or more years of professional experience in consulting, grants management, strategy, organizational transformation, policy development, process improvement, project/program management
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to develop strong team and client relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills)
  • Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (I.e. US Citizenship required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting ACF, HHS, or another federal grant-making agency.
  • Familiarity with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and related grant compliance topics (cost principles, subrecipient monitoring, audit requirements).
  • Experience with grants management systems and reporting tools (e.g., HHS/ACF systems) and/or data visualization (Power BI).
  • Experience supporting monitoring protocols, corrective action tracking, and/or program integrity initiatives.
  • Master’s degree in public policy, public administration, public health, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and delivering training for federal staff or grantees.
