About The Position

As the Manager of Yield and Programmatic Operations at Best Buy Ads, you'll lead the charge in optimizing our retail media network's programmatic advertising performance and revenue generation. This hands-on role combines technical expertise in ad serving platforms with strategic thinking around yield management and programmatic execution. You'll work at the intersection of technology and business, driving pricing strategies, managing floor optimization, and ensuring seamless programmatic deal execution across PMP and PG channels. This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, or New York City, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Analytics, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Google Ad Manager and Magnite/SSP platforms, including campaign setup, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • 3+ years of experience executing programmatic deals, specifically PMP and PG deals in a retail media or digital advertising environment
  • 3+ years of experience in yield management, including floor price optimization, pricing strategy development, and exception handling
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with Ad Sales and Ad Operations teams in a collaborative environment
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to connect technical execution to business outcomes and revenue impact

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Criteo's retail media platform and capabilities
  • 2+ years of experience working at or directly with advertising agencies
  • Knowledge of header bidding, prebid, and advanced yield optimization techniques
  • Understanding of attribution models and incrementality measurement in retail media

Responsibilities

  • Drive yield optimization strategies across Best Buy's advertising inventory, including floor price management, pricing model development, and exception handling to maximize revenue
  • Execute and optimize programmatic deals across Private Marketplace (PMP) and Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) channels using Google Ad Manager and Magnite
  • Build and maintain forecasting models to predict inventory availability, pricing trends, and revenue opportunities across programmatic channels
  • Partner closely with Ad Sales teams to structure custom programmatic solutions and pricing packages that meet advertiser needs while optimizing yield
  • Collaborate with Ad Operations to ensure smooth campaign execution, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement process improvements
  • Manage relationships with SSPs, DSPs, and technology partners to stay current with platform capabilities and industry best practices
