POSITION SUMMARY Located at Chicago HQ, the Manager, Workplace Technology leads employee-facing technology initiatives, drive operational excellence, and champion the upskilling of the Workplace Technology team. The Manager, Workplace Technology serves as a technical expert and hands-on leader, ensuring seamless IT operations and continuous improvement across endpoint management, networking, and telephony. Hybrid role with two days in the office.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in scripting, Intune/SCCM, Meraki networking, and VOIP telephony.
  • Strong project management, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ IT management experience, focused on employee-facing technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in relevant technologies (preferred).
  • Experience in corporate environments and knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for all employee-facing technology initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance on Intune/SCCM managed endpoints.
  • Oversee basic Meraki networking operations and VOIP telephony systems.
  • Support and maintain AV/Teams room technology
  • Lead and manage a team of endpoint administrators and engineers.
  • Foster professional growth and development of team members.
  • Enable the team to solve complex technical issues effectively.
  • Design and deliver targeted upskilling programs for the Workplace Technology team, focusing on: Advanced troubleshooting techniques. Best practices for endpoint management, networking, and telephone. Hands-on training and mentorship to elevate technical proficiency.
  • Support and implement automation where possible
  • Maintain dotted-line relationships with Infrastructure Engineering and Security leadership.
  • Collaborate with other IT leaders to ensure strategic alignment and support.
  • Oversee service desk vendor performance and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Ensure Problem Management processes are followed and root causes identified.
  • Lead technology projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Provide hands-on support and advanced troubleshooting
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the employee technology experience.
  • Stay current with technology trends and best practices.
  • Drive innovation in IT operations and support
