The Warehouse Manager is responsible for strategically leading and managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory control, issuing of materials, and shipping. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and highly productive work environment. The Manager will directly supervise a team of Material Handlers and Logistics Analysts, focusing on adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in Warehouse Management, Logistics, or a similar role, with a focus on Material Handling in a fast-paced environment (e.g., manufacturing or distribution).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control methods (cycle counting, physical inventory) and best practices for material flow.
  • Strong proficiency with WMS and/or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Expertise in EHS standards and a proven track record of promoting a safe work environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Forklift Certified required
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Lean/Six Sigma principles or demonstrated experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
  • Experience with automated storage/retrieval systems (AS/RS) or other advanced warehouse technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, issue, and dispatch of all materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Direct all Material Handling operations, including the safe and efficient movement of parts to and from the line side/Point of Use (POU).
  • Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure optimal material flow, reduce waste, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage warehouse layout and space utilization, optimizing the flow of goods and maximizing storage capacity.
  • Coordinate maintenance and management of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to ensure operational readiness and safety.
  • Ensure an inventory accuracy of 95% or higher through rigorous cycle count programs, periodic wall-to-wall physical inventories, and strict control procedures.
  • Manage and utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and/or ERP system for real-time inventory tracking, transaction accuracy, and operational reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Material Handlers and Warehouse personnel, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staffing levels, create efficient work schedules, assign daily tasks, and monitor performance to achieve productivity and quality targets.
  • Conduct training sessions on WMS, safety procedures, MHE operation, and standard work instructions as needed.
  • Administer performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and rewards/recognition programs.
  • Champion a Zero-Injury culture by enforcing all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company standards, legal requirements, and quality control mandates.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the facility and equipment to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and labor utilization, implementing strategic improvements to achieve targets.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual warehouse budget, controlling expenditures and managing costs effectively.
