About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a supply chain operation. The Operations Manager provides overall direction and oversight in the areas of performance, safety, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and associate development across multiple sites.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of management experience within a high-volume, fast-paced 3PL, distribution, or warehouse operation.
  • Proven experience supporting high-volume e-commerce environments.
  • Strong expertise in inbound and/or outbound operations.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and varying communication styles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, database systems, WMS platforms, and performance/metrics monitoring tools.
  • Excellent presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules as required by operational demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a 3PL environment.
  • Familiarity with ADP systems, including Workforce Now, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations.
  • Evaluate overall operations and develop short and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives.
  • Oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging and transportation operations to ensure company and customer requirements are met.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service and effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment and property.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and government regulatory requirements.
  • Directly manage budget and P&L for operations.
  • Develop work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels, managing labor costs, overtime and retention.
  • Maximizes quality and productivity by understanding and mastering all job standards for each function and evaluating performance variances in order to identify root cause, corrective action and training needs.
  • Participate in the collection of performance measurements per customer, vendor and/or site requirements.
  • Prepares and submits weekly and monthly reports.
  • Deliver a consistent, high-performance experience to our associates and customer.
