The Enterprise Data and AI organization unites data governance, strategy, engineering, and product teams with those responsible for AI engineering, generative AI enablement, and automation product and engineering. This group plays a pivotal role in leveraging data as a core driver of innovation and integrating AI capabilities to transform products, operations, and customer experiences. The EDAI organization also incorporates technology Research & Development and experimentation with emerging capabilities, along with engineering support for Amex Digital Labs. This integration ensures that research breakthroughs seamlessly translate into business impact. The GenAI Enablement Team partners with stakeholders to support GenAI use cases from inception to implementation — guiding teams through council reviews, model integration, testing, and evaluation — to ensure alignment with enterprise GenAI strategy, governance, and the safe, compliant adoption of AI capabilities across the organization. This position reports to the Director of Program Management of Generative AI Program Enablement. The successful candidate will act as strategic partner to the foundational delivery teams and requesting business and tech teams to enable Generative AI use cases for American Express at scale. This role work on the team responsible for ensuring end to end delivery and coordination across multiple technology and risk partner teams such as Information Security, Cloud Engineering, AI Risk Management, Model Risk Management and the use case technical and business teams ensuring timely delivery and providing regular updates to leadership.
