About The Position

The Manager – Talent Acquisition is responsible for the successful operations of the recruitment, staffing and talent acquisition function of the Human Resources department. The Manager directs the full cycle recruitment process for CIA campuses in multiple states as well as remote new hires. The Manager – Talent Acquisition is responsible for the coaching and development of recruitment professionals and works with the Recruiting team to ensure that all open positions are filled on an expedited basis by qualified candidates who will become valued members of the CIA Team.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or significant work experience in lieu thereof.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Human Resources experience required, with three (3) years of experience in recruitment / talent acquisition.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience with an internet-based applicant tracking system required.
  • Requires a high level of service responsiveness to internal customers and effective partnership with hiring managers and human resource colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, and maintain collaborative relationships with all members of the human resource team.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive human resources issues with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills required.
  • Must have demonstrated ability in organizational, time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be adaptable, dependable, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must have a proven, consistent track record showing the ability to work with all levels within an organization.
  • Display a high level of energy and self-motivation.
  • Strong administrative experience with exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to organize the work of others.
  • Strong computer experience required which must include abilities to work effectively with MS Office suite products i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Must have a track record of achieving measurable success for meeting objectives, managing costs, and achieving change.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills required, including the ability to form and mobilize intra-organizational teams.

  • Higher education work experience preferred.
  • Corporate experience in a multi-unit environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the recruitment process for open positions within the CIA's organization, including leadership, management and specialized positions at US-based campuses.
  • Directs and conducts full cycle recruitment, including but not limited to: Preparing job descriptions and requisitions for open positions; Reviewing applicant profiles to ensure they meet position minimum requirements; Conducting phone and video screenings; Conducting in person interviews; Organizing and evaluating appropriate testing for candidates; Obtaining feedback from hiring managers and other interviewers; Making hiring decisions in conjunction with hiring manager; and Preparing salary recommendation for the approval of the Chief Human Resources Officer.
  • Manages the workload of the recruitment team in order to ensure that all positions are filled within recruitment service level standards.
  • Develops recommendations to reduce time to fill for open positions and increase the quality of candidates for positions with the CIA.
  • Oversees mass recruiting efforts and prepares information for recruitment meetings with departments.
  • Manages the review and editing process for job descriptions prior to posting.
  • Manages the Job Description Vault which provides transparent access to job descriptions for the organization.
  • Ensures that standard guidelines are followed for all published position descriptions.
  • Assists departments in the creation of position descriptions for newly created roles.
  • Updates the Job Description Vault shortcuts based on organizational changes.
  • In concert with Assistant Director – Benefits & HR Systems, oversees administrative recruitment support, including but not limited to: Entering requisitions for open positions; Posting open position advertisements in various venues; Coordinating administrative processes for faculty search committees; Conducting reference and background checks; Preparing offer paperwork for successful applicants; Scheduling new hires for start date and making arrangements for orientation; and Completing all applicable paperwork to begin the hiring and on-boarding process.
  • Oversees the management of the data entered into the recruitment / applicant tracking system for all current open positions, including screening status of applicants.
  • Ensures that all data entered by Recruiters is complete and accurate by performing audits, as necessary.
  • Reviews and prepares reports on recruitment activity and metrics, and disseminates on a regular basis, providing recommendations to enhance and improve hiring processes.
  • Establishes and directs the standards of pre-screening, qualifying and assessment of talent while ensuring effective candidate management methods are utilized throughout the interview process.
  • Manages the recruitment team, including hiring, training, evaluating and managing performance of direct and indirect reports.
  • Oversees New Employee Orientation, including development and updating of content and delivery to new hires.
  • Ensures that all employees attend New Employee Orientation as scheduled.
  • Assists with the implementation of new functionality for the recruiting and on-boarding modules in the UKG HRIS system for administrators, candidates, and new hires.
  • Conducts research regarding the latest trends in recruitment, selection, staffing, advertisement / posting venues, talent management, recruitment metrics and other areas of interest.
  • Oversees the coordination of interview schedules for search committees and candidates, which may include booking facilities, making travel arrangements, disseminating invitations, and assisting invitees.
  • Provides recruitment and selection training to new and existing hiring managers as needed.
  • Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures remain up to date for all recruitment processes.
  • Assists the Associate Director – Human Resources with projects as needed.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.
