Job Function: Supply Chain Engineering Job Sub Function: Project Engineering Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Danvers, Massachusetts, United States of America Job Description: reduces overall supply risk with strategic evaluation of supplier capabilities and risk mitigation using appropriate tools • part of all global innovation activities at Abiomed’s vendors while building and managing strong vendor relationships that support business objectives and new product introduction • collaboration with the other leaders in the sourcing organization • cooperation with the Deign Development and Supply Chain on key innovation projects • conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development Directs and develops a Team as part of the global supplier engineering organization of approx. 3-5employees ( individual contributors) responsible for External manufacturing • Demonstrates superior teamwork in working with peers in design engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality, planning & procurement, logistic, regulatory affairs and lifecycle engineering to facilitate joint innovation projects/programs at suppliers • Provides guidance and technical consultation to other engineers ain the areas of requirements, specifications, design, verification, and validation with regards to supplier related topics • Strong involvement in supplier evaluation and development program • Strongly driving scale-up decisions depending on technical supplier capabilities • Collaboration with global Supplier Quality Assurance organization ensuring external suppliers are qualified, purchased products and services meet specifications, regulations, and quality standards • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimizations • Drive the engagement, quality and output of the core suppliers • Reduce overall supply risk through understanding of supplier capabilities & capacities and the implementation of stable processes for new products • Identification and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities At Johnson & Johnson, we believe health is everything.
