You will lead an engaged engineering team and collaborate across a global, highly matrixed organization to strengthen supplier performance, elevate operational outcomes, and support Emerson’s long‑term strategic goals. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Lead the Supplier Performance Engineering team to ensure consistent delivery of quality engineering processes and supplier outcomes. Drive performance improvements by implementing procedures, systems, and metrics that support quality, speed, and cost targets for external suppliers. Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance in all engineering and supplier interactions. Partner with global, cross‑functional teams—including operations, supply chain, quality, and engineering—to align supplier strategies and improvement initiatives. Manage team capacity, define needed capabilities, and ensure the team structure supports the Supplier Performance Engineering strategic plan. Provide coaching and development, set clear expectations, and support recruiting, onboarding, performance feedback, and succession planning. Contribute to strategic planning, organizational reviews, and resource planning in support of long‑term business objectives. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from an engineering school Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience Legal authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited school Minimum of three years of leadership experience managing engineers and/or technicians, with strong technical expertise and demonstrated leadership capability Proven success in project management, including managing budgets, schedules, resources, and multiple simultaneous initiatives Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and work effectively across cross‑functional teams Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities with a track record of driving results Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, balance competing demands, and optimize team and operational performance Lean and/or Six Sigma training or certification Our Culture & Commitment to You: At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
