Job Summary Under the general direction of the Director, the Student Financial Services Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the Student Account Services and Cashiering departments. The position also oversees key service areas, as needed, including Disbursements, University Collections, and Federal Trust Student Aid Accounting. The Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of all student financial operations, while fostering compliance with federal, state, and university regulations. In addition, this role leads the enhancement, integration, and implementation of financial systems and technologies to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and support the university’s fiscal and student success goals.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of five years of related experience required (progressively responsible supervisory experience in fiscal management in a medium or large size accounting or higher education organization working in a highly automated financial operation).
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  • Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in higher education, PeopleSoft ERP, and Transact Campus Payments systems is preferred.
  • A master's degree in accounting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the management and oversight of Student Account Services and Cashiering departments operations and functions along with overseeing other service areas, as needed, including Disbursements, University Collections, and Federal Trust Student Aid Accounting.
  • Involvement in the implementation of new functionality and upgrades related to the student and financial systems.
  • Provides support to the office through additional duties and responsibilities.
