About The Position

Inside the Role The Tariff Strategy & Finance Lead oversees financial reporting, compliance, forecasting, and strategic steering related to U.S. trade tariffs, USMCA, and related regulatory policies. This role partners cross functionally with ITC, Purchasing, Sales Controlling, Accounting, and External Affairs to optimize cost performance, mitigate risk, and support strategic decision making across the business. What You Drive at DTNA Tariff Measurement, FP&A, and Business Partnering Design and build FP&A tariff reporting structure, including forecasting tools, dashboards, and variance analysis. Develop reporting to increase transparency on tariff‑related topics, including certification collection, cost exposure, and cash‑flow implications. Monitor budgets/forecasts & track and report deviations from plan Establish processes to measure and monitor tariff impact at the model/part level and support burden‑share agreements. Partner with business units to define KPIs and dashboards that support transparent decision‑making and operational steering. Lead the creation and maintenance of tariff‑related accounting white papers, AR aging schedules, and documentation for audit and governance. Steer operational decisions related to U.S. Customs & Border Protection refunds to optimize cash flow and EBIT impact. Consolidate monthly actuals for part and vehicle tariffs, including material and operational cost impacts. USMCA Strategy, Risk Mitigation & Planning Partner with DTNA International & Trade Compliance (ITC) team to forecast USMCA qualification, assess risks, and support compliance. Develop risk‑management processes to prevent loss of USMCA or U.S. content and coordinate fallback strategies with Purchasing and Supply Chain. Set USMCA targets for new projects, track performance, and implement countermeasures when risks arise. Strategy, Governance & Cross‑Functional Leadership Serve as Lead Controller for the internal “232 Task Force,” consolidating business cases across product costing, inbound logistics, outbound logistics, cost engineering, and other stakeholder groups. Partner with ITC and Purchasing to evaluate business impact driven by policy and legislative changes. Align regularly with Truck Sales on tariff exposure, pass‑through surcharges, and customer pricing strategy. Support External Affairs and ITC on government strategy and regulatory positions, including tariff advocacy. Build processes to monitor tariff risks across suppliers, components, and materials, ensuring timely escalation and mitigation planning. Knowledge You Should Bring Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience At least 2 years of group leader, supervisory, or project lead experience Effective communicator capable of influencing cross‑functional stakeholders and senior leadership. Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience
