About The Position

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Manager-Spiritual Care and mission Operations to join our team. The Manager-Spiritual Care & Mission Operations provides leadership in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of programs and activities related to Mission and Spiritual Care. Manages all Spiritual Care staff and ensures high-quality standards of professionalism and services. Works collaboratively with leaders, colleagues, volunteers, and patients/families. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in theology, scripture, spirituality, ethics or related field is required.
  • One (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education from an Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or Clinical Pastoral Education International (CPEi) Accredited Center required.
  • 3 years of leadership experience is required.
  • A practicing member within a faith tradition that is in good standing with 2 years experience working in Catholic healthcare, mission, spiritual care or related experience is required.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Suite is required.
  • Must also be comfortable navigating and utilizing a variety of digital applications and communication tools such as Workday, Microsoft Teams, Halo/Clinical Comms, Epic, Zoom, or Webex Video.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in theology, scripture, spirituality, ethics or related field is preferred.
  • Total of two (2) to four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education from an Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or Clinical Pastoral Education International (CPEi) Accredited Center is required within two (2) years of hire.
  • Certification with National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC), or CASC (Canadian Association of Spiritual Care) is required within three (3) years of hire.
