About The Position

The Supervisor-Mission Integration & Spiritual Care will assist, in collaboration with the System Manager of Mission and Spiritual Care, in leading the Market in the areas of Mission and Spiritual Care; promoting spiritual programs and activities that support HSHS mission, core values, Catholic identity, and strategic goals. This position works collaboratively with leaders, colleagues, volunteers, patients/families as HSHS advances its strategic plan toward better health by addressing our human potential, nurturing physician alignment, expanding our site of care transformation and achieving a unified organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, scripture, spirituality or related field is required.
  • Minimum of (1) unit of clinical pastoral education (CPE) at an Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), College of Pastoral Supervision & Psychotherapy (CPSP), or Clinical Pastoral Education International (CPEI) Accredited Center is required. Must obtain within 1 year of hire if candidate does not already have 1 CPE from an accredited ACPE program.
  • 3 years of experience working with Catholic Health Care, Mission or Spiritual Care or related experience is required.
  • Must be a member in good standing within a faith community.
  • At least one year of progressively more responsible leadership experience is required.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Suite is required.
  • Must also be comfortable navigating and utilizing a variety of digital applications and communication tools such as Workday, Microsoft Teams, Halo/Clinical Comms, Epic, Zoom, or Webex Video.
  • Certification with National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC) or Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC) is required. May be obtained within five (5) years of hire if not already certified.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in theology, scripture, spirituality, or related field is preferred.
  • 2-4 units of CPE is preferred.
  • 2 year of chaplaincy experience within a health care setting is preferred.
