About The Position

Works in a dyad model with the Service Line Administrator and Service Line Chief to advance quality, patient satisfaction, access, operational efficiency, clinical program growth, academics, research, and market growth for the Center and it’s programs. The Center Manager will support the Center Medical Director by engaging all medical staff with privileges in the Center’s specialty in the organization of the Center, development of an annual workplan for the Center, and decision-making within the Center. The Center Manager will support and facilitate Center Council meetings which will occur at least six time per year. The Center Manager will provide administrative oversight of the Center and it’s programs through administration of finances, personnel, educational programs, public relations and physical resources. Manager will interview, hire, and assign work to and evaluate work performance of employees supervised. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. The Service Line Manager will work closely with the Hospital Medicine Staff and lead our Palliative Care Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within the specialty area managed.
  • Knowledge of specialty-specific billing, coding, inpatient and outpatient work.
  • Progressive supervisory experience including financial analysis required.
  • Proficient in using computer applications for analyzing data, communicating, and producing reports.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration or health administration preferred.

Responsibilities
