About The Position

The System Transfer Center Manager has 24-hour accountability for the UPH Patient Transfer Center. The manager is responsible for creating a safe, healthy, positive, and professional culture where team members can work together effectively to serve patients seeking care at UPH. Requirements

  • Bachelors in Nursing
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • BLS (within 180 days of hire)
  • Hospital Management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Nursing, or other Heathcare related field or MBA
  • Emergency Department or Critical Care Manager experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure cost‑effective 24/7 staffing of the system transfer center.
  • Oversee operational budget development, monitoring, analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Use financial, quality, and staffing tools to support effective operations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of HR labor laws and comply with all HR policies related to hiring, interviewing, onboarding, retention, and performance management.
  • Lead orientation and annual competency planning for staff, aligning programs with departmental goals.
