About The Position

Global Placement Firm is partnering with The Womans Hospital of Texas to find a skilled and experienced Manager RN Labor & Delivery to lead and support their high-acuity L&D team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse leader with a passion for maternal and newborn care, looking to combine clinical expertise with leadership in a collaborative and innovative environment. The Manager RN Labor & Delivery is responsible for overseeing patient care, staff development, and operational efficiency within the Labor & Delivery unit. This role ensures the highest quality of patient care while supporting hospital management with budgeting, quality improvement, and strategic planning. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to mentor staff while maintaining a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.

Requirements

3-5 years of recent (within the last year) Acute Care L&D leadership experience
Current RN license in Texas
BCLS certification and Medication Learning Module completion.
NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification within 6 months of hire.
ACLS and experience in TX Room, PACU, ICU, HS, L&D, and OR settings.
Bachelors Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

Administer, analyze, and appraise care provided within the Labor & Delivery unit.
Advise hospital management regarding patient care status, budget projections, and quality improvement initiatives.
Anticipate and plan for future departmental needs to improve patient care outcomes.
Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, promoting clinical competence and professional development.
Collaborate and coordinate the efforts of the department to accomplish organizational goals and mission.
Support the implementation of hospital policies, procedures, and best practices.
