About The Position

UTA is seeking a Manager, Revenue Accounting to join the corporate accounting team. You will be responsible for executing all aspects of revenue accounting during monthly close, analyze contracts across many departments spanning the entertainment industry, and strive to identify and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate is highly motivated to automate processes, detail-oriented, and a team player that excels in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in our Beverly Hills, CA office. The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000 commensurate with experience and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree, and have active CPA license
  • 6+ years of relevant accounting experience, including public accounting
  • ASC 606 and ASC 326 experience
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to research technical accounting issues
  • History of managing team members, including offshore resources
  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills with ability to drive initiatives across teams
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with an ability to manage complexity, deadlines and evolving priorities

Nice To Haves

  • NetSuite knowledge a plus, especially use of NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management
  • Experience with automation tools is a plus (I.e. Alteryx, Snowflake, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly revenue close process ensuring revenue is recognized in accordance with U.S. GAAP across a complex, multi-department environment
  • Lead preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations related to revenue and accounts receivable
  • Analyze and present monthly variance analyses, identifying trends and performance drivers across 35+ departments
  • Serve as a key contact with external financial statement auditors for all revenue related matters
  • Partner with Technical Accounting, Client Accounting, and Finance to continuously refine and implement revenue policies and operational improvements
  • Build and maintain documentation of revenue accounting processes and procedures
  • Serve as a company-wide revenue accounting resource, supporting ad-hoc questions and strategic initiatives
  • Drive special projects with creative problem solving as needed
