Manages the daily operations of the Respiratory Care Department to ensure compliance to all standards of practice and licensing/regulatory requirements. Develops and implements strategies in operational improvements and/or new services that are consistent with organizational strategic and business development planning. Manages existing programs, as well as program development, implementation of new respiratory programs and assessment/revision of existing programs in keeping with a changing health care environment. Plans, organizes, and supervises the daily activities of the Respiratory Department , including volunteers and respiratory therapy students, to ensure consistency with standards of practice; licensing/regulatory standards; department policies; and service needs of the facility. Prepares the annual department budget and ensures compliance to operational expectations and productivity standards.
