About The Position

Summary : The Manager, Respiratory Home Care oversees department operations of the home care respiratory therapy service line to ensure safe, innovative, quality patient care practices that yield an exceptional customer experience and strong financial performance. Ensures that requirements for quality, service, and value are met or exceeded. Is responsible for all aspects of staff and department management, and for creating a professional practice environment that focuses on the patient and family for home respiratory modalities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy
  • Five years of progressive responsibility in a healthcare setting
  • Three years of leadership experience to include leading teams and/or projects
  • Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner by National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Valid WI State Respiratory Care licensure
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
  • Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

  • Ensures the recruitment and retention of competent team members to meet the needs of the business operations of the department.
  • Is accountable for daily activities and work processes that result in quality outcomes.
  • Oversees and ensures accuracy of time and attendance and payroll practices.
  • Oversees department operations of the respiratory therapy service line to ensure safe, innovative, quality patient care practices that yield an exceptional customer experience and strong financial performance.
  • Ensures the acquisition, development, and attainment of workforce talent through hiring, orientation, performance management, and employee engagement that align with ThedaCare principles.
  • Demonstrates ongoing expertise and advocacy of the home medical equipment industry with specific focus on home respiratory modalities.
  • Anticipates, identifies, and swiftly responds to market and regulatory shifts.
  • Supports progressive clinical excellence through collaborative and innovative strategies.
  • Implements and supports ongoing standards of care, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures department standards of care align with regulatory, government, payer, and accreditation requirements.
  • Analyzes and implements changes as necessary.
  • Develops and maintains key relationships with referrals, providers, vendors, payers, and key industry leaders to support ongoing success.
  • Ensures the selection, utilization, and maintenance of inventory and asset management supports clinical needs and regulatory and reimbursement parameters.
  • Demonstrates fiscal responsibility.
  • Understands and responds to a dynamic and diverse payer environment and effectively manages costs that align with strong financial performance.
