As a Manager, Project Management at Capital One, you will lead critical and strategic projects to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the company. This role sits within the Commercial Transformation Office (CTO) of the Commercial Bank. This team leads the delivery for some of the highest priority initiatives across the Commercial Bank. In this exciting role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and amplify the division's most impactful work, solve complex problems from our distinct vantage point, all while balancing strategy and tactics. Our project work runs the gamut, some examples are: launching new products, leading updates to existing products and features, or leading foundational initiatives that enable growth.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 6 years of Project Management experience
At least 6 years of experience working in a Project Management Office (PMO)

Nice To Haves

7+ years of Project Management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

Responsibilities

Communicate timely updates on projects, systems, and events ensuring they stay on track, on deadline, and on budget
Work on large and small scale projects that have a direct impact on the company
Drive projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and escalate as needed
Plan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery, includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation
Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation
Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
Identify ways to improve and streamline business processes
Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work
Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands
Display strong consulting and collaboration skills
Work on program management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage tasks
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Have excellent communication and partnership skills for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders to manage, inform and influence outcomes
