POSITION OVERVIEW The Manager, Project Management be responsible for the coordination of a cross functional team to mature building project proposals from Front End Engineering Design (FEED) to Transfer of Care Custody and Control (TCCC). This position has responsibility for working with other Project Management team members to coordinate the input of all stakeholders in properly executing the opportunity and ensuring it achieves the appropriate cost, safety, quality, and schedule metrics.

Requirements

  • The Project Manager must possess a strong working knowledge of power plant systems, including generation technologies and construction sequencing.
  • This role requires a solid understanding of EPC contract execution, project controls, scheduling, cost management, and risk mitigation throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, environmental regulations, and safety requirements specific to industrial projects, specifically power plant projects, is essential.
  • Familiarity with startup, testing, and turnover processes is also required to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable project delivery.
  • A knowledge of applicable regulations is required.
  • A high-level knowledge of estimating and scheduling process is required
  • Knowledge of business financial processes required
  • Computer literate with integrated Engineering Software packages, typical office packages and a high level of computer literacy.
  • Must be articulate and have effective management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
  • Able to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineering License in good standing with at least one state is preferred.
  • Experience managing power plant projects is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day to day management of projects from development through construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance, ensure contractual obligations are being met.
  • Interface with internal groups such as engineering, HSE, legal, operations and external partners such as other contractors.
  • Drive project reporting and control mechanisms including progress tracking, forecasting, cost control, and change management.
  • Identify and resolve project risks and issues to prevent delays and cost overruns.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to HSE standards and company policies.
  • Support the development of commissioning plans and assist in startup activities and transition to operations.
  • Provide input into necessary standards, processes and procedures and ensure that these are applied to all projects in execution.
