Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in program or project management, ideally within medical devices, biotechnology, or related industries.
  • Proven success managing complex, cross-functional projects from inception to commercialization.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or managing project managers or team members.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, IEC) related to medical device development is a plus.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee multiple product development and engineering programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones, coordinating efforts across R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and other functions.
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Identify potential risks, bottlenecks, and issues; implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and workload balancing to meet project demands.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Support the onboarding and development of project team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.
  • Track project performance metrics, prepare status reports, and present updates to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards throughout project execution.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence within the program management team.
