Your Mission: Responsible for the implementation of enterprise-wide, highly complex, strategic projects and programs that meet or exceed customer expectations. Manage and tracks progress on key projects and analyzes project variances. Resolve obstacles to completion or advises management and stakeholders of issues and alternatives. Manage the staff of PMO as well as external resources. This position will be involved in confidential projects and requires a high level of confidentiality, autonomy and discretion. How You’ll Make an Impact: Manage the implementation of large scale, enterprise-wide, highly complex, strategic projects and programs. Monitor project status to objectives and provide direction to resolve unfavorable variances. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure project outcomes meet or exceed expectations in terms of scope, schedule, cost and quality. Monitor and track progress for all projects and lead regular review sessions with PMO Senior Management. Develop and manage to budget as they pertain to project management. Resolve issues escalated from the project management teams. Serve as a subject matter expert within the organization for project management knowledge areas and work with leadership to develop and update the LCE project management methodology and tools for the organization. Collaborate with internal and external resources to obtain and maintain dedication to project schedules. Develop and refine project management processes and tools to further improve the project management process. Develop metrics that define PMO success, project and value to the organization. Provide expert leadership in coordinating, facilitating, motivating, and directing efforts of project managers and business analysts and ensures efficient use of department resources. Establish measurable team and individual objectives that are aligned with business and organizational goals. Ensure staff has the skills and tools necessary to accomplish objectives and continually identifying educational and training opportunities. Set the bar for exemplary project management and meet and exceed project management method requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related degree.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in managing large scale, highly complex projects and programs.
  • In-depth experience with project management processes and tools.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a formal leadership role; managing project managers and business analysts in a Project Management Office environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a highly competent professional, work requires independent problem solving and decision making with broad guidance provided on overall program objectives and specific guidance on project level complexities.
  • Complete understanding of cost estimating, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Evidence of ability to analyze and synthesize information in a concise manner and to make recommendations to resolve issues and viable alternatives.
  • Proven innovative leader, strategic thinker, with the ability to communicate the vision for the future and translating it into clear strategies and objectives.
  • Proven highly developed and effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to talk to all levels of the organization.
  • Previous experience with project metrics and proof of ability to generate, maintain and report on project metrics.
  • Evidence of ability to prioritize workload and projects with the flexibility to rapidly adapt to changes in priorities.
  • Evidence of ability to build relationships and work with cross-functional teams to facilitate diverse project execution and actively monitoring projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters’ Degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Project Management Certification (i.e. PMP).
