About The Position

As a strategic partner to plant leadership, the Plant Human Resources Manager plays a critical role in shaping a high-performance culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. This role is ideal for a proactive, people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about building strong teams and inclusive workplaces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of HR supervisory / management responsibilities in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills with the ability to navigate complex and sensitive employee matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions aligned with company policies and legal standards.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and project management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to plant leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
  • In additional to supporting our employees at our Northumberland, PA manufacturing facility and warehouse, would provide support to our US Door external and inside sales teams
  • Champion consistent application of HR policies and practices through regular audits and coaching of management.
  • Facilitate clear communication of goals and expectations across teams, encouraging employee involvement and ownership.
  • Lead end-to-end talent acquisition efforts, including internal mobility, onboarding, and retention strategies; conduct exit interviews to inform continuous improvement.
  • Drive annual merit planning and compensation reviews for both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; maintain accurate records and timely reporting.
  • Promote Forte’s leadership development and performance management programs across the plant.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, including survey deployment and action planning.
  • Coach managers on effective feedback, coaching, and disciplinary practices to support employee growth and accountability.
  • Maintain and evolve job descriptions, workforce planning strategies, and cross-training programs to support operational agility.
  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures in alignment with company values and legal requirements.
  • Partner with EHS and other stakeholders to manage leave of absence cases, workers’ compensation claims, and return-to-work processes.
  • Administer attendance management programs and support payroll and benefits compliance.
  • Model and reinforce Forte’s core values and principles at all levels of the organization.
  • Participate in company-wide HR initiatives and special projects as part of Forte’s ongoing transformation and growth.
