About The Position

The Media Manager will partner with agency and internal cross-functional teams to develop and execute impactful paid media strategies that drive brand visibility, performance, and a seamless consumer journey across e.l.f. Beauty and retail channels. This role owns day-to-day paid media execution and optimization while ensuring media investments drive measurable ROI and support key business objectives. Working closely with Brand Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Commerce, International, and Finance partners, the Media Manager helps bring campaigns to life across digital and retail ecosystems while continuously identifying opportunities to elevate performance and scale impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of paid media experience, with agency background required.
  • Proven experience across Affiliate, Paid Search, Shopping, Paid Social, and Display channels.
  • Experience working with retail media partners such as Amazon Ads, Criteo, Roundel, Walmart Connect, and similar platforms.
  • Hands-on planning and execution experience across major platforms including Google, Meta, TikTok, Snap, Pinterest, Reddit, OOH, and TV.
  • Strong digital media background including SEM, Social Commerce (TikTok Shop, Affiliate), and Retail Media advertising.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data into actionable business insights.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong creative judgment with attention to brand consistency and campaign quality.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Self-starter mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong presentation skills and comfort sharing performance insights with large and cross-functional audiences.
  • Highly collaborative team player who contributes to shared learning and continuous improvement.
  • Innovative, forward-thinking approach with a passion for testing new ideas and driving growth.

Responsibilities

  • Media Strategy & Planning Develop and execute paid media strategies aligned with brand and commercial objectives across e.l.f. Beauty and retail partners.
  • Partner with media agencies to build tactical plans, recommend optimizations, and test new platforms and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Integrated Marketing, Commerce, Sales, and International teams to ensure media plans support campaign and business goals.
  • Develop campaign briefs for creative and agency partners that incorporate media best practices and performance learnings.
  • Identify trends, insights, and whitespace opportunities to drive incremental performance and business growth.
  • Apply strategic thinking and hands-on experience to continuously enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Campaign Execution & Budget Management Manage day-to-day campaign execution with agency partners across multiple channels and markets.
  • Oversee media budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, and billing processes to ensure accurate tracking and efficient spend management.
  • Partner closely with agencies and vendors to maximize ROI through ongoing optimizations and testing strategies.
  • Measurement & Reporting Collaborate with internal analytics teams and agency partners to measure campaign performance and optimize media investments.
  • Lead weekly, monthly, and campaign wrap reporting to deliver clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Synthesize complex data into clear performance narratives and recommendations for executive stakeholders.
