About The Position

The Manager of Organizational Development is responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, leadership alignment, and enterprise change initiatives that enable the business to execute its strategy. Reporting to the VP, HR with a functional reporting line to the Global L&OD Manager, this role serves as a strategic partner to senior leaders and HR, applying systems thinking and organizational diagnostics to identify and address structural, cultural, and capability gaps. This role is primarily focused on organizational development, including org design, change management, leadership effectiveness, and talent strategy. Learning initiatives are leveraged as one of several tools to support broader organizational outcomes — not as the primary focus of the role. The Manager operates with a high degree of independence, proactively diagnosing business challenges, recommending systemic solutions, and driving initiatives from assessment through implementation and measurement. This position is based in the NY or NJ office, hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in Organizational Development, Organizational Effectiveness, or enterprise change roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading org design, change management, and leadership alignment initiatives.
  • Strong consulting, diagnostic, and systems-thinking capabilities.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders and operating in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Ability to connect organizational strategy to talent and structural decisions.

  • Learning design and facilitation experience preferred, but not the primary focus of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Translate and implement the global Organizational Development strategy within the US business context.
  • Conduct organizational diagnostics (e.g., org design reviews, capability assessments, stakeholder analysis, workforce planning) to identify systemic performance gaps.
  • Lead initiatives related to organizational structure, role clarity, decision rights, and operating model alignment.
  • Partner with senior leaders to align organizational design and talent strategies to business objectives.
  • Support enterprise change initiatives, ensuring alignment of structure, processes, behaviors, and culture.
  • Drive leadership effectiveness initiatives focused on alignment, accountability, and strategic execution.
  • Support succession planning, talent reviews, and internal mobility frameworks.
  • Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to assess leadership bench strength and future capability needs.
  • Coach and advise leaders on team effectiveness, change navigation, and organizational dynamics.
  • Lead change management strategies for key business transformations.
  • Design and implement interventions that strengthen culture, engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure alignment between stated company values and organizational behaviors.
  • Serve as an internal consultant on organizational challenges, team dynamics, and business transformation.
  • Define and track metrics tied to organizational effectiveness (e.g., engagement, retention, succession health, leadership capability, performance outcomes).
  • Evaluate the impact of OD interventions on business performance.
  • Leverage data to continuously refine strategy and organizational solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and HR.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to embed OD principles into key talent processes.
  • Partner with global OD counterparts to ensure consistency and leverage best practices.
  • Design targeted leadership development or capability-building interventions when diagnostics identify skill gaps.
  • Facilitate executive and team workshops that support organizational alignment and change initiatives.
  • Ensure development solutions are directly connected to business outcomes and systemic needs.
  • Partner with Learning teams (where applicable) to deploy scalable solutions aligned to OD priorities.
