About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for operations, optimization, maintenance, and reliability of the pipeline system. This includes supervision and development of pipeline maintenance and operations employees. The Operations Manager is also directly responsible for safety of personnel, protection of the environment, and prevention of damage to systems and equipment through continual promotion of safe work practices and procedures.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent oil and gas industry experience
  • Experience managing and directing a workforce and managing an operations and maintenance budget.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and able to deal concurrently with a variety of projects and issues.
  • Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance applicable to the Crude oil Industry
  • Ability to muti-task in a fast paced, changing environment with strong analytical and time management skills
  • Self-motivated individual able to work independently or in a team environment and willing to learn
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office suite).

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of terminal, pipeline or plant operations experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervises/manages pipeline operators and the maintenance personnel and support them in achieving asset goals and objectives.
  • Prepares and recommends annual operating budget and is responsible for cost containment measures.
  • Reviews and analyzes various operating data to identify areas of lost opportunity as well as opportunities to increase reliability, optimize operations and lower operating costs.
  • Works closely with the Operations to maximize the profitability of the assets and systems.
  • Ensures there is an organized program to minimize downtime, maintains and operates assets with a high level of integrity and reliability
  • Work closely to understand our customers’ expectations and leads the team to meet those expectations with compliant and efficient operations.
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA and other applicable regulations and other industry standards i.e. API, etc.
  • Oversees the planning and scheduling of maintenance projects and other instrumentation and/or equipment calibrations
  • Responsibility for employee development and training for all direct reports.
