About The Position

As the Operations Manager for Tri-Star Virtual Academy, a program of Stellar Virtual, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our virtual learning programs in Tennessee. This role will require periodic travel to collaborate with field leaders, program coordinators, educators, and department staff. You will work closely with the Director of Academics to allocate resources effectively, including budget management, staffing, and technology requirements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in education management or a virtual learning environment is strongly preferred, but we can accept similar experience as it applies to this role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence and meet program goals and objectives.
  • State residence in Tennessee is required, with up to 30% travel throughout the year.
  • A bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of education regulations and policies in Tennessee is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple virtual learning programs, including public and private virtual school settings, ensuring they align with Stellar Virtual's mission, vision, values, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators and educators to implement best practices and maintain high-quality educational standards.
  • Monitor program performance, evaluate effectiveness, and implement improvements as needed.
  • Lead and mentor a team of program coordinators, support staff, and educators to ensure they are motivated, aligned with company objectives, and capable of delivering exceptional results.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
  • Work closely with the Director of Academics to allocate resources effectively, including budget management, staffing, and technology requirements.
  • Ensure that programs have the necessary resources to operate smoothly and meet the needs of students and their families.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement strategies to continuously improve program quality and student outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including school districts, parents, and community partners.
  • Act as a point of contact for addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback related to virtual learning programs.
  • Ensure all programs comply with relevant educational regulations and standards in Tennessee based on Stellar Virtual’s Standard Operating Procedures in direct alignment with program partners (i.e., school districts).
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management and external stakeholders on program performance and outcomes.
