About The Position

Specified Technologies Inc. (STI) is the industry technology leader in firestopping products. Established in 1990 and headquartered in Somerville, New Jersey, STI has grown to serve multiple markets and geographies. With approximately 230 employees, the company is committed to innovation, safety, and performance in passive fire protection. We’re seeking a Territory Manager based in the Middle Tennessee / Nashville area to assist the company in reaching its aggressive goals for growth in the assigned territory. Territory Managers are charged with the responsibility of meeting sales goals, obtaining new accounts and maintaining a professional image of the company. They will continuously promote and sell our company products to existing and potential new customers, providing solutions for their firestopping projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Equivalent Experience
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years outside sales experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email).
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce) platform
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups.
  • Team‑oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, motivation, enthusiasm, energy, and integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction sales experience and understanding of the construction process is a plus but not required
  • Experience with solution selling (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sales efforts on large projects.
  • Set up and manage distribution of the company products.
  • Sustain a rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
  • Consistently identify new sources of business.
  • Make effective presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Articulate ideas clearly and concisely to a diverse audience in a variety of settings.
  • Able to meet and surpass sales goals.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to relate to customers’ requests and needs and deliver solutions.
  • Available to travel as required throughout the region.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
