About The Position

The Manager, Onboard Cruise Sales – U.S. Market, is responsible for supporting the execution and performance of onboard sales across MSC Cruises’ U.S.-based ships. This role ensures that sales initiatives, campaigns, and onboard programs are effectively implemented and optimized for the U.S. market. Working closely with both Geneva leadership and U.S. teams, the position focuses on driving conversion rates, guest engagement, and revenue delivery while providing market insights and operational support that enhance onboard sales performance. This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in the office, in Miami.

Requirements

  • Prior shipboard experience is required.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop remote sales teams.
  • Skilled in analyzing complex data, creating actionable reports, and leveraging insights to drive revenue and optimize operations.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate data and targets into effective strategies.
  • Exceptional skills in influencing, presenting, and communicating effectively with audiences at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of market trends, data-driven insights, and guest engagement strategies.
  • US Passport or US Permanent Resident

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in managing cruise sales is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and BI tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support, coach, and collaborate with U.S. shipboard sales teams to strengthen sales effectiveness, improve conversion rates, and consistently deliver against revenue targets while maintaining a high-performance culture.
  • Implement onboard sales and marketing initiatives from Headquarters, adapting them for the U.S. market, and establish a consistent onboard sales process that drives guest engagement, boosts conversion, and increases revenue.
  • Cooperate with the marketing department to design and distribute sales materials, oversee onboard marketing activities supporting Future Cruise promotions, and ensure all promotional activities align with brand guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze U.S. onboard sales results, campaign effectiveness, and revenue metrics; leverage data analysis to provide actionable insights on guest sentiment, booking barriers, and market dynamics.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly updates on key promotions, sales campaigns, and onboard initiatives.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to execute sales campaigns; work with onboard operations to integrate sales activities into the guest journey; and coordinate with U.S. shoreside marketing, sales, and loyalty teams to build awareness of the onboard booking channel across B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Monitor daily bookings, review marketing collateral, manage the inventory of sales materials, and ensure smooth execution of onboard promotional activities.
  • Provide day-to-day assistance to Cruise Consultants in handling bookings, troubleshooting system issues, FCC requests, and resolving special guest inquiries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders onboard and shoreside, ensuring alignment with global direction and providing consistent feedback to optimize U.S. onboard sales performance.
