About The Position

The Manager, Systems Engagement for Impact plans and runs initiatives that bring state agencies, districts, higher education, workforce partners, funders, and other organizations together to build broad support for modernizing and improving education at scale using multiple, interconnected levers, including but not limited to policy, curriculum, assessments, data, teaching, and learning. The manager designs, develops, and implements research- and evidence-based processes, products, and protocols to deliver high-quality, timely, and budget-aligned work; provides mentoring and support to staff; and maintains day-to-day relationships with clients and collaborators to ensure smooth communication and execution of work. The manager facilitates professional networks, advances constituent engagement that fosters consensus and collaboration across K–12, higher education, and workforce sectors, contributes content expertise and proposal support, and serves as a field-facing presence to amplify the Center’s work and impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, public policy, evaluation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 – 8 years of experience coordinating system-level initiatives in education, with demonstrated success engaging constituents across K–12, higher education, and/or workforce sectors.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current trends, challenges, and policy developments in mathematics education across K–12 and/or higher education, including standards and assessment changes, instructional innovations (e.g., math pathways, quantitative reasoning, data science), and opportunities for cross-sector alignment and modernization.
  • Strong facilitation, cross-sector engagement, and consensus-building skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams and contexts.
  • Proven project management skills (planning, prioritization, risk management, schedule/budget tracking) and ability to deliver under deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data, research, and evaluation feedback to inform decisions, actions, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and comfort representing the Center in field-facing settings.
  • Experience organizing convenings or professional networks and producing field-facing materials.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and runs systems-focused projects across K–12, higher education, and workforce sectors; supervise and coach assigned staff, set day-to-day priorities, and support their professional growth to ensure clear scopes, timelines, budgets, and high-quality deliverables
  • Build and maintain relationships with system leaders and collaborators; facilitate professional networks and consensus-building activities that advance modernization goals
  • Serve as a field presence through presentations, publications, and convenings; contribute to communications and field-facing products that share evidence-based practices
  • Contribute to business and grant development; provide scopes of work, timelines, budgets, and examples grounded in evidence of impact
  • Use data, research, and feedback to inform decisions; support evaluation and learning agendas that document outcomes and guide continuous improvement
  • Participate in organizational culture and strategy efforts; align initiatives with Center priorities and coordinate effectively across teams
