About The Position

The Manager of Special Projects supports the strategic, operational, and technical execution of special projects and alternative procurement methods within the organization. This role works closely with the Director of Special Projects and cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with company goals, assist in market analysis, and contribute to customer engagement and business development efforts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and collaborative, with a strong foundation in construction or business operations.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in construction project management, estimating, or business operations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and present actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial tracking.
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams and external partners.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Experience in problem solving at both a strategic and tactic level.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Strong business analysis skills.
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization to accomplish customer satisfaction.
  • Valid Driver's license required
  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Construction Management, Engineering or similar is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large-scale, multi-agency projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of special projects, including alternative delivery methods for construction initiatives.
  • Support strategic initiatives by conducting market research and competitive analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies and revenue growth plans.
  • Help manage project budgets and monitor financial performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Support the development of presentations, reports, and recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Promote a high-performance culture through collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute insights to long-term business goals.
